Small business web design FAQs

How long does it take to build a small business website?

It depends on the number of pages, on whether the copy is ready and on how quickly answers come back. A simple presentation site usually closes in a few weeks; one with a store or many sections takes longer.

WordPress or Webflow?

It depends on how much the content will grow, who is going to update the site and how much maintenance you’re willing to take on. I explain it in detail in the note on WordPress vs Webflow, and I’ll recommend the one that fits you.

Does web design include SEO?

It includes the SEO basics: titles and descriptions of their own, heading structure, alt text, speed and a sitemap. Nobody can promise rankings on Google; what can be done is to leave the site well prepared.

Will I be able to edit the website myself?

Yes. I leave the site ready so you can change text and images without breaking the design.

Does my business need a blog?

It isn’t mandatory, but it helps people find you: it lets you answer your clients’ questions before they contact you.
